This tall guy may look like a hulk but his photography is far more delicate than what a simple appearance may have implied. The lovely town of Poitiers that I had always wished to visit one day opens up in unexpected ways on Pierre's stream. The decay and the timeless stand side by side and Pierre's unique technique make them fuse together so that his subjects become mere objects in his hands. He's so totally in control of these objects that he is able to impress us with a little twist here and a touch of colour there. Thanks to his photography, Poitiers is reborn from old postcards, those postcards that Pierre is constantly reworking...
