Keith Alan Thomson is an artist/designer/illustrator based in Elgin, Scotland, and is a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee in Applied Design.

Since 2005 his interactions with the processes of image making have been devoted principally to investigating the core 'language' of images ... 'Image+Quantum = A Generative Synthesis' ... through the potential provided by 'Processing', the flexible software sketchbook type language for coding within the context of Generative Art.

Post November 2022: eagerly exploring and testing the vast potential of AI Generated Image Synthesis.

Favourite AI image generators (as of 5 October 2024):

1. KREA.ai ... wow!

2. Recraft.ai ... very good for modifying my 'old' sketches and can save in SVG file format

3. WOMBO dream ... still very good for generation of serendipitous artistic images

4. Lumalabs Dream Machine ... Video clips from image+text prompt generation!!!

His employment career encompasses Assistant Lecturer in Design at Duncan of Jordanstone; teacher of Art&Design/Media Studies/Drama at Perth Academy; and as Computing Advisor for Tayside/Dundee schools with specific responsibility for Interactive Multimedia support.

Keith's prints, pen+ink drawings, watercolours and acrylics can be found in a number of public and private collections in the UK, Germany, Australia and the USA.
