Please feel free to enjoy the photos. I've engaged in many pursuits during my life. From cutting grass and shoveling snow to various janitorial jobs and a stint in the Army as a cop and librarian, I've always tried to keep busy. Professional jobs started as a musician, then photographer, then clerk before financial jobs started paying a lot better.

Now, years later, I cook, garden, make music and take pictures. I've also designed things - raised beds, master bedrooms, family rooms, gardens and their lighting and most recently - rain chains. If you want something designed - email me.

Equipment has changed over the years - I started with Nikon and have been mostly loyal since. In my film days the F3HP was my choice - two bodies and 20/4, 28/2.8, 55/2.8 macro, 105/2.5 and 200/4 were my travel companions. I later decided I wanted to use a rangefinder based camera and visited a local store to buy a Leica M5. I should have bought it, but instead bought a much more modern camera - the Contax G2 and had a new travel set. Two bodies, 21/2.8, 28/2.8, 45/5 and 90/2.8 - and on rare trips 16/8. The best camera for day-to-day shooting ever. You even got a 37th shot out of every 36 exposure roll! Unfortunately film K25 or Fuji50 were expensive. Slim times made for no shooting.

When digital arrived I waited until the D90 from Nikon came out and I've stayed with that wonderful old F-Mount. Old lenses work and a whole new world of new lenses were always there. I currently shoot with a D850 most of the time, but a D500 has occasional advantages. Lense range from cheap 14/2.8 to Zeiss 50/2 and 100/2 macros. All I need. Tripods big to small, focusing rails, lights, reflectors... a great tool set.

A Fuji X100s fulfills a rare fling with a rangefinder.
