My photography career began with photographing concerts when I was 20, which is where I taught myself the rules of composition, exposure, how to play with light, and most important of all - timing. Since then, I’ve migrated from teaching sixth graders to working as the full-time photographer at Concordia University Chicago. This has led to many hours behind the lens capturing portraits, completing commercial/admissions shoots, shooting editorial photos, covering events, and even trying my hand at sports photography. This has caused me to not only be flexible, but to be comfortable in a variety of photographic situations.

 

Of course, that’s just my “day job.” At night, I often still shoot concerts, because you can’t forget your roots….and I just really like music.

 

I also shoot weddings, engagements, children, and portraits.

 

So, what does all of this mean?

 

Basically, it means that my cameras are almost literally attached to my hands. It also means that I have a lot of fun.
