With my dog, Otis, I live in the beautiful Appalachian foothills of northeastern Alabama on 28 acres of wooded hillside bordering 2 creeks. Moved here after retirement to get out of the rat race that Atlanta has become. I collect all sorts of stuff; have several hobbies that vie for my attention (prime among them a greenhouse full of cacti and other succulents); completely transform my house with decorations at Christmas; and love to take photos of just about everything, but particularly my succulent plants, garden, wildflowers, birds, other wildlife, and natural vistas.
