Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by to read my profile!
I live in Lafayette, Colorado, which is just east of the well known City of Boulder. I've been photographing in earnest for about four years now and use a Sony RX100 -- taking most of my photographs while bicycling. Occasionally, I'll use my Point-and-Shoot film cameras along with my Olympus OM 4ti.
The subject matter that interests me and attracts my eye speaks for itself through my photographs. I photograph nearly every day, always taking my camera with me in my bicycle trunk bag. I have found that bicycling is the near perfect means to take my photos. Scenes unveil themselves to me at a modest pace -- if I were walking, the pace would be too slow, without enough opportunities to discover new ideas for images. If I were driving about in a car, most opportunities would simply pass me by without notice, or I would not take the time to pull over to the side of the road.
Foremost in my photography, I try to keep what I refer to as visual clutter to a minimum. Visual clutter, to me, is material within an image that detracts from my subject or does not contribute to the photograph. Only if I feel I can gain a handle on the visual clutter, do I attempt to compose a photograph.
I also like to create photographs with clear, vibrant colors. I make a real effort at visualizing how well the different colors in a scene may work together. Often, the color combinations found in my images are not mere coincidences.
I am so inspired by the many flickr photographers and especially the talented and creative individuals I follow, as they have really helped me in improving my photography! I truly enjoy looking at others' photographic creations; I can't get enough of them!
Although I would like to, I don't follow a really large number of individuals simply because I want to devote sufficient time to the photographic efforts of those I do follow on Flickr. If I were to follow several hundred individuals, I don't feel that would be possible.
If you would like to view what I feel are my best photographs, I have set up two Albums titled, "Personal Favorites" and "Photos To Frame". The images selected are not based on flickr "interestingness" or "favs", rather they're simply the ones I like the best!

Two of my images have also been selected by the City of Lafayette, Colorado to use on their web page.

Craig has a really clinical approach to photography, but amazingly the results are always artistic and emotional. He finds beauty in scenes that I would not even give a second look. Plus he is a nice, sincere, and interesting guy.
Love your gallery.
