Welcome.

Nearly all the photographs (except ones of myself and few family photos from 1906 - 1970) on this site have been taken by myself, with the earliest taken in 1969. The main time frame covered is 1974 – 1983 and 2007 to the present day although there are a few outside these dates. The source material is generally from my collection of black and white negatives from 1973/74, 4000+ 35mm transparencies from 1975 and to the mid 1980's or digital images generated from various digital camera’s which generally commence around 2006 onwards.

Collections will fall into generally two categories:

i)photographs by subject type (locomotives, DMU's, infrastructure etc)

ii)photographs taken in a year/month,

The vast majority of the photographs have detailed captions and any comments or additional information will be gratefully received. Also general feedback and messages always welcome.

Thanks for visiting my site

Regards John
