I am a native of Western Colorado and a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder. I migrated to Southern California (Laguna Hills) in 1974 and lived and worked there and in North San Diego County until 2005. My wife and I retired and moved to Chico, CA. She is a former executive with Lehman Brothers. Many of my photos are in and around Chico.

I am a retired executive of an automobile company still doing some consulting work as a sideline. I was the Controller of DeLorean Motor Company in the early 1980's and spent most of my working life working at Nissan Motor Corporation and in the Toyota/Lexus industry. I also worked in the natural gas industry, the restaurant industry, and the hardware (locks) industry.

I took up photography semi-seriously about five or six years ago and still consider myself an amateur. I hope to eventually reach professional status. Over the past few years, I have been studying Photoshop and currently have version CS3. I am thinking about getting CS4 but have not even mastered the earlier versions yet. I find Photoshop hard to master but continue to plug away restoring old photos, colorizing, correcting exposure and color. I have found many groups in Flickr that offer much insight into Photoshop and digital photography. See some of my contacts listed below who are some of the most knowledgeable people that you would ever want to know with regard to Photoshop and digital photography in general. I would like to start a small business restoring and correcting photographs in the next year or so but have to find someone to either construct a web site for me or teach me how to do one.

I have traveled extensively all over the world and the United States and you can see that in some of the photos that I have posted on Flickr. My wife and I rode Harley Davidson motorcycles for about ten years and I have posted some photos of that era also.

As a younger man, I was a semi professional baseball player and amateur boxer. I have sparred with professional boxers that went on to fight for the heavyweight championship. My junior college baseball team was second in the national NJCAA tournament in 1961. I had an offer to play professional baseball in the New York Yankees organization but opted to go on and further my education. I didn't continue with baseball at the University of Colorado and my options in baseball expired.

I currently have three point and shoot cameras. I try to carry one of those with me at all times. They are a Canon PowerShot SD870 IS Digital Elph, a Sony Cybershot Full HD 1080 with Zeiss lens, and a Pentax Optio M20. I prefer the Canon.

My SLR is a Canon EOS 50D. I also have a 20D. I currently have three EF lenses. They are an EF28-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS USM, an EF-S10 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, and an EF75-300mm f4-5.6 IS. I hope to upgrade and purchase a few L lenses.
