I am an avid photographer and have been practicing photography for fifty plus years. In 2003 I got my first digital camera and have seen it as a rebirth of my photography since I am now exploring color. Prior to that time, I was mainly black and white including printing in my own darkroom. I give away hundreds of pictures each year, hoping to have someone enjoy the images. I also sell to the stock photography market. This particular medium, shared photo gallery via the web, is just another way to look at people's good work, find inspiration and share my own experiences. Everyone uses Flickr for different reasons. Some put up their very best or most provocative work. I use the service as a archive of all of my work. It helps me keep it together in one spot, organized and accessible. Therefore I have mediocre, good, very good and once in a while outstanding images on my site. Of course, each person has to decide which is which!
