My professional background is in finance, training and management consultancy in the City of London and in Dubai, UAE. Apart from the odd powerpoint presentation, that doesn't allow for a great deal of artistic creativity. So now I am an amateur photographer who is new to photography. I have been taking digital photos on holiday with a Nikon Coolpix 3100 for a few years but have only been a little more serious since January 2007 when I got a digital SLR, the Canon EOS400D. I have to say I am learning quite a bit and appreciate any sort of comments (or constructive criticisms) you may have. I currently do minimal editing, and what I shoot is essentially what gets uploaded with a few tweaks every now and then.

I like to take a variety of pictures and am trying to define my specialist photographic interest. I like Flickr because I can explore a wide variety of pictures and styles to share my ideas of how to take better pictures.
