Just a regular guy with a camera fetish and a voyeuristic need to explore the world through a peephole ...

Some information about my equipment: most of the early pictures you see here were taken with the Nikon D40; my preferred lenses then were the Nikkor 18-200mm VR and the Sigma 30mm f/1.4. The other cameras I owned in that period were the Lomo-LCA, the Canon G7, the Canon EOS 500n, and the Canonet GIII QL17.

And then the gear acquisiton syndrome bit me and I moved on to successive bodies - the D90, then the D300s, and finally the D800. My lens collection has also followed suit: after selling both the 18-200 and the Sigma, I got myself some of the best Nikkor glass available.

Recently the Leica bug bit me. Didn't have much luck with second-hand purchases - my M7 came with a battery drain issue and my M9 had a cracked sensor two weeks or so after I got it - but my original purchases have been much happier affairs. I really do love my M-E and M Type 240. I find I use the Summilux 35 most often, but the Summilux 50 is really a great lens too.

Along the way I've got myself attached, married, and blessed with a baby girl. And photography has been with me every step of the way, allowing me to record the most special moments of my life in higher and higher resolution :)

It's been a great adventure and this Flickr page is a record of that wonderful experience.
