“Everyone has to scratch on walls somewhere or they go crazy” Michael Ondaatje

Photography is my way of scratching on walls. Of saying, “Hey, take a look at this interesting, wonderful or puzzling thing that I found or made”. It's also a way for me to stay in touch with the wonderful and interesting things that other artists and photographers find and create.

Further, ever since I was a small child I’ve had an insatiable curiosity. I love digging up information about all manner of things--including especially the subjects of my photographs--and most of my images are accompanied by written descriptions that, I hope, help people to better appreciate the visual content of the photographs.

If you frequently leave faves and comments on my photos I will do my best to reciprocate--though, with increased activity on my site, this is sometimes difficult. Please don't be disappointed, though, if none of your images appear among my favourites. It's not personal. I'm just very selective and somewhat idiosyncratic in my choice of favourites--and only select photos that I want to be able to go back to and review at my leisure.
