I am a Texan by God's Good Grace/birth and a Californian by good fortune/current address. I have parented/co-parented 6 beautiful, successful children (adults now) and am in the process of completing my parental duties with my 3 youngest sons who are pictured in my more current family photographs. I am a proud grandmother to the most wonderful children ever born who range in age from 1 - 21 yrs. It is to share in the pleasure of viewing family photographs that I was introduced to Flickr by my delightful daughter-in-law in Raleigh. It has opened a new world for me

I am not a photographer, but my husband is quite adept. and has an interest in the technical side of the craft . I do, however, enjoy the aesthetics of it. One of the opportunities offered on Flickr is a chance to view exquisite photographs of interesting places and things by persons who take picture- taking to the Art-form it can be. It is through their eyes as reflected in their photographic images that I can travel to places I have not been or enjoy revisiting and remembering places I have seen. Therefore, I save Favorites so I can enjoy them again on occasion. I do respect privacy, copyright laws and other concepts regarding intellectual property. I usually comment on the photographs I choose as Favs to both show my appreciation of the photographer's work and to let them know who I am. I do not in any way publish or use any of these images without express written permission nor do I foresee a time I might desire to do this. Should the occasion arise where I might want to use a particular image, I would certainly seek permission and give all credit to the Photographer. This archiving of photos into Favorites is simply for my own personal pleasure.

Thank you to my family and friends on Flickr who, by sharing their images, give me pleasure and allow me to see things from a different perspective or in a new way.
