Amateur photographer, bird nerd, ex-firefighter/emt, former mariner, former wildlife rehabilitator/oiled wildlife rehabilitator, cook, beer geek, bicycle/pedestrian advocate, gardener/native plant booster, dog companion, software punisher, seeker of the divine in nature.

Interested in all photographic genre, though mainly do bird and plant photography. I learn more from my mistakes than my successes - so I try to post my best photos from each outing even when they are not so great. Occasionally, I post a real stinker if I capture a bird I haven't seen before or it has meaning to me.

I shoot Nikon these days, though have had a couple of Minolta and an old Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic as well.

I will not accept group invitations for photos without a preceding invitation to the group.
