I photograph what interests me. I wildly prefer natural light and/or available light to artificial lighting set-ups.

I am a minimalist photographer, meaning that my goal is good-to-great natural-looking images which need little (if any) post-processing out-of-camera. My intent is skill with my camera and lens, not skill with Photoshop or iPhoto in dressing up a mediocre raw image. Therefore, many of my images may appear boring by some people's heavy-processing standards these days. Too bad for them; they're losing an appreciation of subtlety. That being said, heavy manipulation can be fun; just don't let it control your art.

I am 46 years old. I'm a dad, an actor, a singer -- a true baritone (someone who can lend himself out as a bass or a tenor) -- and flutist (phlewght = flute). My wife and I have been happily married for 22 years; we have 3 beautiful children.
