HE IS ONE OF THE GOOD ONES ...hes a Mans Man and a talented photographer .He is one of my closest friends on flickr and i love the guy .....I wrote him a testimonial a longtime ago but i reinvented myself many times .......so i can do this again ...Its an honour to be a friend of his .....he is consistent as he is talented ...and hes loyal .I have gone through a lot on flickr having many galleries groups and knowing wonderful people as well as the backstabbers ..and I never turn a cheek .......and always will love a Donnybrook ..........and through all these times he has always stood by me ........and I would do the same for him ....Flickr is an institution fo friendships and art ...I hope to meet him one day and shake his hand ..........Howard Brodsky

Im late …as I have known Phil for a while now, as he is a co- admin in HCG and a friend of mine whom I talk to on the phone and this testimonial is long overdue. So not only do I have the opportunity to interact with Phil on flickr in many circumstances due to his administrative positioning along side of me , I also have gotten to know him due to the fact we have spoken on the phone and it is so much easier to get a true gauge of this wonderful friend of mine. Testimonials are all very similar in many respects as many start out talking about the person and then moves on to what an incredible photographer they are ..this testimonial will be dealing more with Phil as person, and his sound character, as it is obvious unless your blind that Phil is a very good, fabulous photographer ,who understands light and is a sponge when it comes to gathering information as he constantly shows improvement with a already staggering talent... and produces some of the most beautiful landscape scenes on flickr . His use and clear understanding of colour, and of light ,and image, make his work distinct and Impressive…..and he brings much to the table as far as his ability and performance with his camera in producing and creating such incredible photographic images . Something too that is important which is glossed over in flickr …..is post work…... Well Phil should be teaching classes as he is so good ……..and considering we are older compared to the present generation now (which is so computer savvy compared to us) it is incredible how well Phil works his pictures to bring the most out of what he clicks the shutter for, as post work is the final part of photography ….the finishing touch, in picture performance as it addresses your eyes for appreciation and acceptance. So now that we got that out of the way …what you don`t see is what a tremendous friend Phil is to me……. and how much I appreciate the class, candour , backing and reliability of a man who has lived,and who walks to his own independent drum beat . He is self assured, a hard worker ..no EGO and a sense of humour …..he also is an appreciative comrade who gauges and waits to let his opinion out only after he has had the time to figure you out as he does not ramble needlessly . A very direct, accurate, and succinct person in his communicative skills, and in his thinking, and a very support ally if you need to call on him for help ….at our age (Boo Hoo) reliability is not as common place as you might think …..but Phil personifies the word integrity , and alliance, and I am so lucky to have earned his friendship and respect …because with Phil he watches to see your performance level as a person ……...as he is not won over easily, as he is nobody`s fool as he gauges (in his way) what you say and how you act before a secure handshake is offered …"OLD SCHOOL"…... and that sits just fine with me especially during the era we have entered into ….where its all blah . blah, blah , and very little emphasis on your integral persistency rate or your consistency of honest performance. I can honestly say that Phil is one of the straightest no nonsense shooters on flickr ..with more common sense and practicality than most, and a kind, sensitive, soul that keeps his cards close to his vest until you have earned his trust ………… a tremendous friend, an incredible caring soul once you have earned his regard as he appreciates goodness in people…and who loves doggies as much as I do…( so how perfect is that lololololo…:-))) ) Phil is a good friend of mine, a cherished alliance that I covet and respect…..which makes me the lucky one ………….I`m very honoured Phil …………..Howard PS …..you should put this up on E-bay Phil as it is a rarity …Not 1 present participle in all this don`t get used to it lololololo……. :-))

MI AMIGO PHIL. Es un ser humano y un amigo especial. Lo conocí a través de mi hermana Joahi y del maestro Carlos Molina. Un fotógrafo trotamundos cuyo estilo de vida envidio. Hoy duerme en Montana USA y mañana en las rocosas Canadienses, pues anda como el Maquey con su casa rodante al hombro! Su espíritu aventurero, su amor por los animales y todo lo que signifique naturaleza, es realmente digno de imitar. Sus imágenes hablan por si solas. Desde un pavo salvaje, un tierno ciervo, una cabra montes, hasta una poderosa águila calva, son parte de los escenarios que mi amigo Phil va recogiendo y pintando con mágicos pixeles a su paso. Phil llego a mi galería para quedarse. Y digo esto porque no es fácil mantener una amistad con un contacto que no pueda escribir en nuestro idioma.Phil no escribe Español y yo no escribo en Ingles, pero la nobleza de Phil supera a la mía,pues yo comento sus fotos en Español y el comenta las mías no en Ingles, sino también en Español y muchas veces me deja con la boca abierta, pues Phil se toma la molestia de leer mis extensos post y en sus comentarios hacia mi, hace referencias a cosas y hechos que me dejan con la boca abierta. Muchas veces me da vergüenza y recurro al traductor Google, pero el traductor se ahoga con mi lenguaje cimarronico y no puede traducir palabras como asesinesca, cimarronesca, rajacorneas, derritepupilas, desencaja mandíbulas etc etc por lo que en varias ocasiones he mandado a mi amigo al hospital con las costillas rotas jajajaja. El también me ha dado varias puñaladas y yo me rio a carcajadas cuando el traductor google nos queda mal. Yo siento una gran admiración por este gran fotógrafo, no solo por sus alucinantes paisajes y su amor por los animales, sinó por la gran calidad humana, de un amigo al que no puedo expresarle con palabras lo que realmente siento por el y lo que el representa como modelo y motivo de inspiración para mi. Imaginense ustedes que un día yo me encuentre con Phil, no poder decirle nada y todo lo que pueda hacer es darle un abrazo y hablarle con la mirada. Apreciado amigo, perdoname todas las costillas rotas y las veces que te he mandado al hospital con mis comentarios cimarronicos. You’re such an inspiring, kind, sincere and generous photographer, you make your flickr friends feel special when you visit their photostreams. I felt very privileged to “meet” Phil here on flickr quite some time ago, but recently got to meet him in person and we’re becoming fast and good friends. Phil’s photos take you on virtual tours of some of the most beautiful parts of the country, his photos make you feel like you’re standing right there next to him on a narrow hiking trail face to face with a mountain goat high in the mountains at Glacier or enjoying the absolute pristine beauty of Lake Louise and more. Beautiful scenic landscapes, wildlife and his beautiful pets, through his eyes are far more than just a view. His is a beautiful photostream to be savored and felt. Phil has been my good friend here on Flickr for almost a year now. His comments on all his contacts' photos are always well thought out, genuine, caring and encouraging. From looking at Phil's photostream, you can quickly see what a talented photographer he is. His landscapes are beyond beautiful. His remarks under each picture always give the exact location (and name of every lake, river, mountain peak, etc.) as well as any other interesting information he can find. Phil's love of nature portrays itself through the lens of his camera. His road/camping adventures have yielded an amazing array of exceptional and artistic pictures that make you feel you'd been there with him or want to visit that place too.
