ABOUT PHILRICE

We are the country’s leader in rice research and development (R&D). We are a corporate entity supported by the Philippine government through the Department of Agriculture.

We focus our R&D efforts by addressing the key production constraints in favorable and unfavorable rice environments in the Philippines. We develop and promote technologies that are ecosystem-based, location- and problem-specific, and profitable for all Filipino farmers.

We have seven strategically located R&D centers. We collaborate with a network of government, private, and non-government organizations.

In pursuing our mission, we are guided by our integrated management system (ISO 9001:2000 [Quality Management System], ISO 14001:2004 [Environmental Management System], and OHSAS 18001:1999 [Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series]). Our IMS attests our dedication for sustainable rice farming, quality management, and a healthy and safe environment.
