Fond memories of our mother’s big brown camera bag filled with fascinating items, the magic of film, and leaving her brood of children to take quiet walks alone in the woods with her camera, inspired both Willie and I as children. However, he was much sooner motivated to pursue photography than I, and I’m proud to say he has taught me nearly everything I know. I am amazed not only by his ability to capture a moment so perfectly, but the patience he shows from beginning to end, processing his own film (and mine-thank you), and spending the time to get the most out of every frame. The biggest compliment I can give is to say each time I see his photos it inspires me to deposit a roll of film in the ol’ camera, get out the electrical tape, and venture out.
