A lifetime of interest in technology, science and all things logical has never given me a huge opportunity to be creative beyond programming or puzzle solving.... I've had many small compact cameras but the limited point/shoot use never dragged me into creative thinking.... I tried on occasion but the results were always disappointing.

The moment I held a D-SLR I knew things could be fun! Blending the technology interest with a typical boys need for gadgets meant I was smiling before I took my first shot :-)

The Flickr community has amazed and inspired me and pushed me to tentatively explore any creative talent I may have. For me, the act of photography is a sheer pleasure; now the results are as rewarding too, I know I'm hooked for life!
