Obsessed with wildlife, this is my main passion. I also like illustrating wildlife and generally preaching to people about how we should all make an effort to look after the planet and our beautiful animals. I'd love to be a professional wildlife photographer but I only got into photography as a way to get photos for my artwork. Need a bit more experince first though, not to mention a few quid for better equipment! I've just bought a new Nikon D810, but I still need some top quality lenses.

When in Britain, there's nothing I enjoy more than getting up at 5 in the morning for an early start with my few pieces of camera equipment and going for a walk to see what I can find and making the most of the beautiful sunrises. Many people think we don't have much wildlife in Britain but they couldn;t be more wrong. It's just hard to find because they're all so terrified of people. That just makes it more exciting when you do see something though.

I became more involved in conservation when I travelled to Namibia in 2004 to work on a project involved with research into the black rhino. I returned, this time to South Africa, the following year and now try to travel to Africa at least once a year. I remember someone telling me at the airport on the first time I went that I would bitten by the Africa bug (no, not malaria!) and would have to keep going back. They weren't wrong.
