I am what would be considered a hobbyist or amateur photographer. I originally took to photography when moving to Alaska in the early 80's. I wanted to capture the beauty and grandeur of that state and share it with friends and family back home in Maine. I still have my Canon AE-1 Program with the 50mm lens and 100-300mm zoom but rarely use it anymore. I got back into photography several years ago after some life changes prompted me to look into a hobby to occupy my time. I enjoy traveling all over Maine looking for something interesting to make compelling images of. I love the thrill of that once in a lifetime shot or looking for it.
