Not a constant photographer, I prefer to do a few photos with sometimes long time gaps in between. I prefer moody black and white, high contrast images but also do some colour.
I have no real theme, I just photograph what I feel I like when I see it, however, I do try hard to visualise how the shot may end up after processing. As a consequence I often try the Ansel Adams zonal technique which is fairly easy on modern DSLR's. I just identify which zone I want a particular part of the image on, use spot metering on that zone and then adjust the exposure accordingly, preview and repeat as necessary.
