I started to do photography seriously in October 2006

after buying my first DSLR. Prior to this I had sporadically dabbled with 35mm film using a Pentax ME Super but the costs of processing meant that it was only an occasional hobby.

Music was always my first passion and I have played and recorded with numerous bands over the years, but now I'm a bit too old for that lark so photography has taken it's place as my main creative outlet. I'm passionate about this, so far it's been a great journey and buying a DSLR and is probably the smartest thing I ever did.

Naturally I do a lot of music photography and I shoot music for Retna Pictures and have had my images published in numerous international publications.

I also shoot fashion, portraits and weddings - I like to mix things up. I think that what I learn from one area of photography benefits other areas of what I do and keeps things fresh.
