Drag to set position!
Confronted with a life threatening case of lupus in 2000, I recovered and became a single mom during my illness. Help in my community preserved my companion pets during my two years on chemotherapy. It can be done.
My Papillon dog "Medici" and I started an outreach in 2005 and then in 2006 the Law firm of Jenner & Block donated a year of legal help to create PetsNPatients as a 501c3 IL tax exempt charity by the Fall of 2007.
This year we seek to make this grow into a network of compassionate pet partners.
We are asking Pet Sitters, Boarding Facilities and Pet Pals to donate a pet sit annually. We seek the human resources to assist patients with their pets, while they recover.
Help us reduce pets the number of companion pets being re-homed or euthanized needlessly, when going gets "ruff: and resources are limited for patients.
There is a direct and positive correlation for a patent's outlook and improved wellness with the love of companion pets.
It's all about love, laughter and healing, one tail at a time.
