On the 31st August 2025 I uploaded my latest work called "Shooting the Past," I was thrilled to be informed by Flickr that the shot was chosen to be on Explore, only nothing happened- No views, comments, faves or button invite. I fired off an email to the Flickr team highlighting my problem and the reply back (copy & paste reply)

While I can't provide a specific timeline for when this will be addressed, having it logged ensures it won't be forgotten and will be prioritized appropriately once our team has the bandwidth.

 

I know that's not the news you were hoping for, and I genuinely apologize for the impact this bug is having on your Flickr experience.

I emailed them again yesterday (30th Sept) as its been four weeks since the above message from Melanie. (Copy & paste reply)

At this time, I don't have any updates to report regarding this issue and I'm not able to provide a timeline for when a fix will be rolled out.

 

Our engineering team remains focused on broader internal work, which means bug fixes like this are taking longer to reach the top of the queue.

 

I appreciate your frustration and I'm truly sorry we can't move faster on this.

 

Once our team shifts focus back to general bug fixes, this will be in the queue for review and we'll be sure to reach out to you when we have an update to share.

 

As a thank you for your continued patience, I have extended your subscription by 3-months free of charge. I know this does not fix the issue, but I hope it can help.

So that's the story so far, looks like my Flickr experience is on hold for the foreseeable future. I want to thank all my Flickr friends for all the wonderful comments, invites, faves and words of encouragement I have received since joining back in 2012, its been an incredible journey.
