I am just an ordinary guy with a bargain camera. For me it's more the process of taking photos than the resulting photo which matters: You are on the way, you learn to see and look and you learn to admire all those great photographers.

Finally I have a hint for you if you are searching for great photos or photographers here at Flickr: Forget those groups or tags but look into the hand-picked favorites of a photographer you admire. Good photographers tend to collect photos of other skilled photographers. Which doesn't mean that everyone who has a good favorites collection is automatically also a good photographer. Unfortunately not. ;-)

P.S.: I add photographers as a contact primarily to get notified in this way when they post new photos. So I'am not disappointed at all if I'm not added as a contact in reverse. Seriously!
