Hi everyone,

Firstly the boring but necessary bit;

Do remember that I own the copyright to all the images in my photo stream unless otherwise noted.

Please do the right thing and contact me for permission if you want to use any of my images.

2 x energy bars.

Spare myki card.

I have been archiving all my photos but have yet to find enough time to process them and upload them.

By processing, I don't mean Photoshop.

Processing photos to me means:

1. Selecting photos to upload.

2. Rotating photos.

3. Watermarking photos.

4. Using flickr uploader to upload photos, tag them and place them into sets if necessary.

Call me old fashioned; I am not a believer of using Photoshop.

I love being made your contact as I am a friendly person, however I will block you under certain circumstances.

My block rules:

1. If you have blocked me, I will block you. If I don't know you and you have blocked me for no apparent reason

then I will respond in kind and block you. It would be nice to know why you blocked me, perhaps it is the

photos in my photo stream, perhaps I appear "creepy", etc.

I try my best not to offend people, so if I have offended you in some way and you have blocked me then it would be nice to know the reason why.

If you have made me a contact, I will look at your photo steam and:

1. If your photo stream contains any pictures of people or animals being tortured/executed/killed, etc.

2. If your photo stream contains excessive macabre content.

3. Any pornographic nudity, except from the occasional "artistic" nude.

I will block you straight away.

My frequently used cameras:

Point and shoot: Sony DSC-H1

Compact: Canon Ixus 125 HS

Rarely used cameras:

SLR: Minolta SRT Super (35mm film) with 50mm prime (Yes a real SLR, and not a DSLR)

Compact: Leica mini Zoom (35mm film)

I love experimenting with low mega pixel cameras and with film cameras. I love to see how good a photo I can take with a low mega pixel camera.

Unfortunately you won't find any photos of me in my stream, I am not the most handsome tool in the shed :o)

Now about myself.

I'm Australian born but have a Canadian accent from the time I spent in Canada. I love travelling and have travelled to a number of countries.

I have spend a great deal of time in Malaysia. Malaysia is a lovely country, the food is delicious, the people are warm and friendly, the drivers are.......well we won't talk about the drivers.

I would love to live there but the humidity is too much for me. It isn't that hot (about 33C every day), just very humid, about 80% - 90%.

I have been interested in photography for a long time and early on the photos were from 35mm film cameras and one day I might go through them, scan the best ones and put them up on flickr.

I'm inspired to take more photos by the people on flickr and the beautiful shots they take. It is incredible how varied all the photos are, some are just pure genius.

One of my current passions is light painting and I am intrigued by the methods that are used to make the photos, especially the "spheres".

I find the photos from my contacts especially inspiring. If I make you a contact then it is because I really love your photos. For want of a better phrase, your photos 'speak' to me. Another reason why I may make you a contact is because your photo stream contains photos of places I have visited in my travels and it is like a trip down memory lane and it is also nice to see how the place looks now.

If you are female and I make you a contact, I will always make you a 'contact' first. It will be up to you to decide if you want to mark me as a "friend", if you do then I will reciprocate.

Call me old fashioned if you like but I think it is a bit presumptuous of me to mark a female contact as a friend first, ladies should always go first :o)

You may also notice that I have quite a few female contacts. That is because I find that women tend to have a much more artistic flair than men. They will often see something in a scene or event that men wouldn't normally pick up and it shows in their photos; perhaps it is female intuition :o)

I will never place 'notes' on your photos or somebody else's photos. I feel that every photo that a person takes, whatever quality, is a work of art.

They are sharing a part of themselves with the rest of the world and to place 'notes' on a work of art, however humble, would be defacing it, a form of graffiti if you like.

To all my flickr contacts, keep on taking those wonderful shots and sharing them with the world, you have more budding photographers out there to inspire.

So have a look at my photos, please do comment and tell me what you think.

Sorry, I am NOT on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace or any other social media platform, nor do I have a blog.

Take care,

Peter

You are The Hermit

Prudence, Caution, Deliberation.

The Hermit points to all things hidden, such as knowledge and inspiration, hidden enemies. The illumination is from within, and retirement from participation in current events.

The Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. You do not desire to socialize; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. You prefer to take the time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent but these feelings eventually lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.

The Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing.
