During the 1980s I lived in Elizabeth St, Mt Victoria, Wellington. I had a great time taking photos of bands that played in Wellington - particularly those who stayed with us. Owned by early Wellington recording artist, Alan Dunnage, these flats were a haven for traveling groups, especially Flying Nun bands. I also spent time with Flesh D-Vice. The images are organised into album by band name, plus a misc album and an album where I can not identify the band. There is also a series on Mahana, a community in the Coromandel over-looking Port Charles. I visited 3 or 4 times during the mid 80s.

They were taken on an Olympus OM1 on various Ilford films. They were developed in my bedroom at a time when income was short so developer and fixer use was prolonged as much as possible, and concentration levels were not always at the best shall we say, so the neg quality is not great. The images have been cleaned up so much as time and base-quality allow. Enjoy as you will.
