I'm based in Birmingham, UK. Within the context of Flickr I would class myself as "a photographer". In other contexts I am other things.

Copyright and licensing

The vast majority of my photos are released under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license. This means I want you to use them all over the world, with credit, without asking my permission, but only for noncommercial uses. There are lots of photos of bands and musicians here and I consider use of my pics by those not on major labels to be noncommercial in this context so fill yer boots. You don't have to let me know but I'd appreciate it if you did. If you're using them online please use this code, or a variation of it, to link back to me:

The CC license only applies to non-commercial use. If you want to use one of my photos in a commercial way I'll be wanting a fee. If you would normally pay a photographer to take a similar photo then your use is commercial. That includes government departments, funded organisations and the like. This is also one of the ways I attempt to earn a living.

You can of course just do whatever you want and I can't stop you. Such is life.
