Since I was a child, I am interested in photography. I took my first photos with some kind of box camera, later with a simple camera both utilizing roll film 120. Twelve photos per film weren't too many compared to today’s digital cameras. Then, there always was additional time and even worse, cost involved. With my first self earned money I bought myself a Canon AE-1. Great camera, worked fine for me for over ten years, then I changed to the EOS system because of the autofocus. Again I kept the camera for years, almost 15, when it was stolen during a break-in. Because I was used to Canon and satisfied with the performance of my previous cameras I bought the just released EOS 350D. No complaints either. Well, the puny display maybe. One of the reasons I upgraded to a EOS 60D a few month ago. Not that I would need it, but then again, one of my other interests is technology, and the EOS 60D is quite a nice technological plaything.

Unfortunately, I'm interested in a lot of things besides photography. Information technology, especially mobile technology (Android), Virtual Worlds and eLearning to name a few of the technical variant. Singing in a choir, playing fantasy role playing games, reading and learning French on the non-technical side.

Combined with my family there's not very much time left for photography.

And that is the main reason, that I regularly fave a picture without or with a real short comment only. I often scan through the Explored or Interesting pics as well as the occasional photostream on my mobile phone (Android, FlickFolio), already lying in bed. Great for viewing pictures, not much fun writing comments. I always answer FlickrMail, although it may take a while.

Personally I like taking photos of people. People, flowers, funny situations and animals, not so much architecture or landscapes. And that are the kind of photos I fave regularly. Since I'm just a simple man, portraits of women are the majority in my list of faves. Please do not hold it against me. ;-)

Despite my "laziness" in doing so, please feel encouraged to comment and criticize my photos. I can do without all these banners though, really.

One last thing. Since English is not my first language I'm sure I make a lot of silly mistakes, maybe even get the meaning wrong in some cases. All you native speakers out there, please tell me and correct me. Of course this is true for French too. :-)
