I've had the pleasure of "meeting" Gustavo here on flickr. His images are always a delight and he never disappoints; whether it's a sweeping landscape, a candid street shot or one of his delightful food shots that always make my mouth water - I am always impressed. His images are masterfully composed and processed. I am so thrilled that I get to be a part of his photographing world.

Whether it's a flower a street or a building Gustavo has the ability to capture the very soul of a scene. Whether it's a flower a street or a building Gustavo has the ability to capture the very soul of a scene. This he seems to manage by noticing and emphasizing the often overlooked elements of a subject, from the way a petal curls to the expression of engrossment on a subject's face. He is also a master at what lesser mortals seem to struggle with - the ability to see and convey order from the chaotic reality of modern life. You won't see a better exponent of the art of composition than Gustavo, just check out any of his street or building shots. Also, I could not have wished for a better contact in terms of insightfulness and ability to communicate what he likes (or what he doesn't!) about a picture. This, despite English not being his first language is the sign of someone not just dedicated to his photography but of someone dedicated to photography per se. Wrap it all up and you have Gustavo, a superb photographer, intelligent critic and a great friend.
