I will be back here soon, but am taking a break from this account for a few months or so.

I've been taking pictures since Christmas 1980 and enjoy experimenting with different equipment: formats, cameras and lenses. I think it was probably the comparatively instant feedback of digital photography which lead me, in the years following the millennium, to really fully grasp that there was nothing, and particularly not about the equipment or technical choices, that could ever possibly rival the fundamental importance of the direction we choose to point the camera and the place or time.

The other stuff has been a fun diversion, though, and so it continues.
