P.M.K.® Pimp My Kicks®
Drag to set position!
Pimp My Kicks® (PMK™) has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a basement operation to having an international clientele. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, PMK™ has been creating hand crafted sneakers since 2004. PMK™ is far from your average custom sneaker company for each shoe is expertly designed to bring the customers ideas and wildest wishes to life.
PMK™ CEO Andre Scott truly believes in quality over quantity and that providing excellent customer service has been the key to the success of PMK™. President A.J. Ballard aka Locksmith-the sneaker artist, the creative genius behind the custom kicks, performs one-on-one consultations with each client to ensure the development of truly unique concepts for each order and that each pair of kicks are perfectly made. This “Dynamic Duo” does not view themselves as a Batman and Robin type team, but more like Super Friends- the Superman and Batman of the custom sneaker industry. They encourage others to embrace the custom lifestyle and believe that just as your identity is one of a kind….your shoes and clothing should be too.
Pimp My Kicks® will release its first collaborative sneaker concept with the Original Oliver Moore Bookmakers in Fall 2011 called Perfectly Made Kicks. This collection will re-configure the iconic Nike Dunk sneakers with style elements typically found on men’s dress shoes and will be made with premium materials such as crocodile skin.
Pimp My Kicks® customized sneakers have been featured on G4 TV, Fuse TV, and ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, www.sneakerfreaker.com, www.sneakernews.com, www.sneakerwatch.com, and www.paintorthread.com. Most recently, PMK™ designed sneakers for the Nickelodeon World Wide Day of Play (WWDOP) commercia. WWDOP is an annual event that encourages kids to get up, get out, and play. The event was hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama and was held in Washington D.C on Saturday, September 24, 2011. The commercial features the Nickelodeon TV stars wearing customized Supras designed specifically for WWDOP. Not only did PMK™ paint custom sneakers for the network’s top talent, they were also commissioned to do 27 additional pairs for the network’s top executives. The commercial was part of an International TV campaign and ran daily on all of the Nickelodeon network and affiliate channels. Pimp My Kicks® is the first custom sneaker company to customize sneakers for an entire television network.
