I remember first starting out on flickr, and you being one of my first contacts. I would always look at your stream in utter astonishment and wonder how someone who was the same age as me could be so incredible at photography. I think you changed my perspective on things and that age means nothing when it comes to being good at photography. I also remember being a part of you Change Project and showing everyone because I was so excited :) You are amazing at capturing emotions, great light and colours and executing ideas. I have needed to one of these for a while now. Here it goes... The first of April marks my one year anniversary on Flickr. It is amazing to me to think that it has only been a year since I joined this wonderful community of artist. I feel like I have been on this site for my whole life considering all the inspiration I have found admiring a variety of different photographers works. Out of the hundreds of photographers I have discovered in the past year, there is one in particular who has stood out to me, Holly Henry. In Holly’s work there is such a raw emotion you will never find in anyone else's art. She achieves this by giving every single one of her photographs an individual personality that is 100% unmistakable. Holly pours her heart and soul into every photo she produces and she is someone who is truly passionate about her art. Whenever I am feeling uninspired or useless I can always go back to Holly’s photostream and find the inspiration I need. Even in a photo of hers I may have seen a hundred times there is still the same spirt about it that I got seeing it the first time, because the work is so real and so emotional it is always relevant and will always appeal to me no matter what.Everyday I look forward to seeing what new piece Holly has produced and it brings me so much joy seeing the hundreds of comments, notes, and favorites she receives from all the people she has effected just like me. Over the past months I have become good friends with Holly and have actually gotten to work with her on a couple occasions. It really is one of the greatest things in the world to be able to call someone who I admired so much a friend. Even better than being able to call her a friend is knowing that she is going to go on to do great things in her life and the world of art. Thank you so much Holly for all your inspiration, you and your artwork will always have a place in my heart. -Chase Williford

I find myself getting excited every time I see she's uploaded a new photo and she never disappoints. There are times that I've actually gone back to look at the same photos of her's 3 or 4 times because they are so deep and dynamic...keep up the great work Holly and you will go very very far ;)

She's not afraid to be herself and express herself through photos. At only fourteen, wow, Holly is oh so inspiring and inspires both men and woman, older and younger than her. She is going to go so far in life, and hopefully one day will marry David Cook. (I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on that one!) Best of luck in the future and keep it up!!! :) :)

i'm tired. Ok, let's see... I've known you for...uh...9 or 10 months. Loosly. I was following you when you only had a few pics up and verrrryy limited photoshop work. *poof*. Suddenly y de repente Holly has become a great editor w/ photoshop and has got some great ideas floatin all around like jelly fish and what not. Popularity= boom! Publish-a-bility= boom! Mailbox= boom! (i assume it gets flooded) Ka-boom! Ok, i am usually not a big advocate for self-portraiture or heavy-heavy photoshopage, but i think you've got it down well- i'm not easily bored by seeing you over and over again, and the ideas behind the editing is great. I think your...starting highschool? something like that? Anyways, you've got a really bright future ahead of you because A) your've got lots of time to perfect your craft if you decide to take the art path, and B) you are ambidextirus (damn, probably mispelled that one) which is really just awesome. Anyways, a fun person to follow because you've usually got a good story up your sleeve, your from texas, and..yeah. I suppose i should throw in the other junky stuff that people don't like to hear but i'll throw it in anyways. If I suddenly pass away tomorrow, the advice I would give you isss..= -Take a digital photography class in some form or capicity- learn your way around photoshop, learn about printing, etc. -continue things like the change project....make it an on-going hobby type thing. -finally...idk if you can do it with the change project, but if you make another project (i do suggest you do that) ask people if they wouldn't mind making their CC licences so you can use them because....LOOK INTO PRINTING OUT A BOOK. If you had a photobook that had, for instance, all the change pics.... :o. Awesome. Really, you could sell stuff like that to some high-end coffee shop or really any of those fancy art stores. Yes. Do that. And go to college in california, so i can meet up with you eventually because i know i'm not going to to texas any time soon. I'm still tired... Oh, and I like your cat more than your dog (seems to have more personality from the pics i see. Maybe it's a cat thing. We found a cat in our dorm today. Cute.) KD.

EVERYONE ON FLICKR, First of all, you probably already know this, but Holly's photostream is AMAZING! Seriously. She's the best teenager//photographer//photoshopper//contact i have ever met on flickr! I have been following her ever since the first day she started her three hundred and sixty five project. Every day, she amazes me even more and more. She has great talent and mad skills at editing pictures in photoshop. And yes, her photography has been PUBLISHED in a magazine-a magazine in the NETHERLANDS which makes her 10 times cooler!!!! Honest truth, she is my absolute favorite person on flickr. She inspires me daily whether she knows it or not. I wish she didn't live so far away from me because it would be epic if we could do a shoot together. Who knows, maybe one day.
