I recently retired after working every day for 46 years, and moved to the Highlands of Scotland. I have always loved travelling and looking at pictures, especially of places, so photographs have opened my eyes to the wonders of our world. As an early starter with Flickr (2007) I set out very much as a happy snapper content to post just about anything that interests me. My camera goes with me almost everywhere I go. It means my flickrstream is one long ramble of pictures, full of variety. Inevitably there are a lot of landscapes, a handful or portraits, but also the weird and unusual. I try not to be predictable. I don’t care too much about technique and quality, and I'm not precious about my equipment. I don’t give a monkeys what gear you use. I’m no tech snob. I prefer to be more spontaneous but that means too often I’m just slapdash. I really don’t care. I’ve enjoyed taking my photos, and am pleased with a few of them. I try to add interest by plotting the location, adding tags to enable searches, a description, and story to the picture, where appropriate. Sometimes I just write stories and the picture is just irrelevant. I do particularly enjoy interesting comments, and I will try to respond. As for ‘faves’ what are they for? Do they have any meaning?
