I live in Hunterdon County, New Jersey (USA). Most people think of New Jersey as being congested but the country side is somewhat rural and quite beautiful in this part of New Jersey.

I have been interested in photography for many years. I grew up with horses and a black and white dark room in the house. My mom and I even did horse photography semi professionally for a period of time. Though I appreciate film photography, I was really drawn to digital photography early on. I bought some decent digital point and shoot cameras over the years but couldn't see investing in DSLRs when they were in their infancy. After getting two new kittens in 2009 and not being able to capture good action shots with my point and shoot, I finally upgraded to a Sony Alpha 300 DSLR. That immediately led to the purchase of a couple of faster lenses and a dedicated flash. Over the years I have developed an obsession with camera equipment. Currently I have a Sony A7RII, an A7S, an A6000, an A6500 and numerous lenses.

I love taking pictures of my cats but I also like to take nature and landscape photos. I have learned a lot by being on Flickr. My photos and processing techniques have evolved partly from being exposed to all the great stuff that's here on Flickr.

I love that I can see peoples pictures from all over the world and that I have contacts from all over the world. Unfortunately I only speak English well. I have been trying to learn Spanish but don't do well enough with it yet to try to post in Spanish.

If you have looked at my photo stream, it is obvious that I love my cats. I have no children so Sappho, Apollo and Zeus are like my kids. They are registered Ragdoll cats. Sappho is 19 now and still going strong. Apollo is 12 (born 2/13/09) and Zeus is 12 (born 4/8/09).
