Born in Toronto, lived in Vanvcouver for about twenty years so that features prominently here. Moved back to the big smoke just before a stupid pandemic shut the world down, which meant not much live music to photograph or review (this was a thing I did for a very long time.)

I shot film almost exclusively until 2010, at which point I picked up a Canon 5d Mark II. Nice camera. I've since switched to a Fuji X-T4, because I like the size of compact mirrorless systems (and I didn't like the lenses on the Canon EOS-M5 which I owned for a while.) I've got a high level of disdain for excessive post-processing: cropping is cool, I'll even take straightening to correct errors, contrast, brightness and overall exposure adjustments. Beyond that...well, that's not a photograph.

I'm a cyclist, a writer, a photographer and an I.T. Specialist focusing on small and medium businesses. I shoot commercially, shoot a lot of concerts and sometimes work in video. I haven't owned a TV for a few years, which makes my perspective on video interesting at times.
