Pelpa means "paper" in Lunfardo, the slang of Buenos Aires. Lunfardo appeared at the end of the 19th century, the result of contact between European immigrants and natives.

For eight years I worked among documents of that period at the Buenos Aires Historical Archive. Paper has been my daily context for a long time, and it still is in another way: recycling, cutting, transforming to create these “pelpa objects”.

Pelpa significa "papel" en lunfardo, la jerga de Buenos Aires. El lunfardo apareció hacia el final del siglo XIX, como resultado del contacto entre los inmigrates europeos y los nativos.

Durante ocho años trabajé entre documentos de esa época en el Archivo Histórico de Buenos Aires. El papel fue mi contexto cotidiano por un largo tiempo, y todavía lo es, de otra forma: reciclando, cortando, transformado, para crear estos objetos de "pelpa".
