Vale, we have a similar approach to photography, that is to capture fleeting moments and feelings that we encounter every day, and these captures help us to remember these moments. Thus, our photos become our own interpretation of the world around us. Your statement that you know very little about photography is a great UNDERstatement ;-) . We should not de-value our own skills by trying to imitate others, or by striving to technical perfection. Our photos is how WE see the world, and should not be how we think other want them to see. Also Andreas Feininger, whose work I admire, said once: "A technically perfect photograph can be the world's most boring picture." For some time now, I have been trying to find out what is it in Peia’s pictures that brings me back to her Flickr stream over and over again. I browsed, and judged, and imagined, and enjoyed, and kept getting drawn back till finally, in a single moment, everything clicked in place: In that tiny little speck in time, I have discovered that the reason I like Peia’s art so much is not only in the pictures! It is the atmosphere - the photos and the titles together creating beautiful, warm, lyric atmosphere, that is so magical and inviting. The invitation to enjoy this atmosphere never gets old for me and with every new picture there is another reason to come back and enjoy again.
