Living in the south of England, my main hobby is photography. I love getting out and viewing the world. 2024 saw my first holiday in the Wales for many years and included a stay in Portmerion; rail trips on both the Ffestiniog and Snowdon Mountain Railway and, finally, a visit to Gigrin Farm to photograph wild red kites in flight.

Politics is as mucky as ever... What comes next is anyone's guess.

The first camera I used was a Kodak box camera which used 620 film and is still in my possession; this was followed by an instamatic; Canon AE1; Minolta; Sony Cybershot; Nikon D40X and the Nikon D90 and D7000 (which I broke in an accident).

My latest camera is the lightweight D5600. I have streamlined my camera equipment as I don't want to keep carrying so much when I go out.
