Once upon a time I had a Canon film body, but life got busy and it started to collect dust on the shelf. When DSLRs finally became affordable, I bought an Olympus E-500 with the two kit lenses in 2006. My experiences with E-500 impressed me enough to buy a third Zuiko lens, the 35mm macro, and to upgrade to a gently used E-510.
While I appreciate the advantages of digital photography, I also have a foot (or maybe a foot and a half) firmly planted in the film world. I kind friend introduced me to the Olympus OM line, and I've branched out from there into medium format. I process my own b&w currently, and plan on adding color to my repertoire soon. My negatives get scanned with an Epson v500, which does a great job.
Thanks to my father, who got me started with the gift of a lovely Zeiss Ikonta, I am smitted with medium format b&w. In addition to the Zeiss, I also own a Voigtlander Perkeo and a Yashica MAT 124G.
I most enjoy nature and portraiture photography, but am content pointing the camera at just about anything.
