Otherwise known as Paul.

I'm just a keen amateur with limited photo equipment - although I'm hoping for a step up from the family when I get to a big birthday later on this year.

UPDATE! The big day passed and I now am the proud and excited owner of a Nikon D90 with Nikkor 18-105mm kit lens plus Nikkor 70-300 zoom. So from June '09 onwards most posts will be from ths new camera with grateful memories to my humble old Minolta Dimage for being a faithful friend over the last 5 years or so.

A bout of ill health has caused a (hopefully temporary) increase in leisure time with the side benefit of giving me more time for my love of photography.

So inspired by so much of the great stuff on Flickr. Please feel free to comment constructively as I learn - and please do respect the copyrights - I am always happy to respond if anyone wants to use a photo!
