The Mission of the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse is to promote resource conservation, creativity and community engagement through material reuse.

Every day tons of reusable materials are sent to the landfill. Some are discarded because they are no longer usable for their intended purpose; others are thrown away because there is no viable outlet to get them from those who no longer need them, to those who can use them.

The Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse works keep such materials out of the landfill, by developing programs to explore and encourage ways to use these otherwise wasted resources.
