I've been taking photos now for over 50 years. I started with my old man's folding Kodak roll-film camera, then onto Instamatics, and later several 35MM cameras, some of which I still have. These include an ancient Fujica ST901, sadly long since moribund, as well as a Minolta Dynax 500SI. My one 35MM Nikon, long since sold!

I first went digital back around 2000, and got my first serious DSLR a Kinica Minolta Dynax 5D back in 2006, when I joined Flickr - It still works! Because of the Minolta/Sony "A" mount lens collection I "upgraded" to a Sony A700 and then an A77.

Due to the weight of a camera body, vertical grip and three lenses etc. I got a point and shoot Sony RX100 Mk2, in around 2013, which is still in reliable daily use, although the A77 still gets cracked out from time to time. I'm contemplating an A7Mk3 or 4 but none of my lenses will fit!!!!

I shoot everything in camera raw, because I enjoy post processing almost as much as being out in the field. (Admittedly I'm as intimidated by Photoshop now as I was back when I first got using it more than ten years ago, so most of my post is done in Lightroom!).

Flickr is a great place to share my stuff with other photographers, although some work on display is of such quality, I think I could hang up my boots and go home! But retired now that I am I have more time on my hands and after-all, its for fun and to reach out to fellow Flickerites!
