I am a Christian husband, father, minister, author, songwriter, photographer, and just a regular a guy who likes guacamole ... A LOT!

When I was a kid, I had a dog named Snoopy and a rabbit named Thumper. The dog was afraid of the rabbit.

I played tuba in my high school’s jazz band, and have a record (not a CD, but a vinyl LP record) of the concert we played my junior year.

I love music, enjoy photography, tinker with web page development, and have written and recorded a song that has actually made it to Amazon.com.

My favorite food is probably Chinese, with Mexican food running a close second (although a good batch of guacamole takes top honors any day!).

I’ve met Chuck Norris (and lived to tell about it) and the cast of “Walker, Texas Ranger” when my family served as extras for the filming of an episode of “Walker”. I even have a picture of my family with Chuck on the set of “Walker”. Be jealous. Be very jealous!

I have been fascinated with genealogy since I was in junior high. One of my great-great-grandfathers was named Canute Canuteson. His parents came over from Norway in 1871. I think that makes me a Viking. Or maybe a Pirate. Perhaps a Viking-Pirate! Either way, you probably shouldn’t make me mad. Aaarghh!

I never could decide what I wanted to be when I grow up (still can’t), so I just decided to be a Youth Minister instead. I spent twenty-five years doing that (hey, it beat getting a real job), and then transitioned into another area of ministry.

My philosophy of life is pretty simple (that makes it easier to remember): “Be good and have fun.”
