I am now a retired Unix administrator, an amateur woodworker, and photographer. I also like working with my hands (so anything DIY related I shall give a try until I get it right!)

I try to photograph things that are normally not seen, with various degrees of success! What I have found is that I like macro/micro/closeup photography with my limited gear. (One day I shall upgrade my gear to get sharper photos)

In the meantime, I love learning more by inspecting other's photos.

December 2013 - 'One day' has arrived and I upgraded to a Nikon D5200 with two kit lenses, 18-55 and a 55-200mm

Also a Nissin Di700 flash as well as 3 close-up filters!

I now also have a NIKON D500 with a Tamron 18-400mm zoom lens, a 100-500 Sigma zoom lens and a 10-20mm Sigma UWL
