Born in 1959, a Lancastrian by birth, I moved to Westmorland as a babe in arms, were I subsequently discovered the West Coast Main Line (Oxenholme) and the Windermere branch. As a young lad I saw out the last years of BR steam and picked up a camera to point at the railway in the early 70's for the first time.

Love the history of my region and its railways and really don't see the point of going anywhere else. Have witness the worst and best of Humanity in my 30 years of service to the Crown, and have a great respect for Manchester and its people as result. As for railways and photography I photograph what I want and what I like, Please do not pigeon hole my work. if you like it fine, if not, thats your choice.
