I had pushed point-and-shoots as far as they would go, even with complete "manual" control, but, in the end, it wasn't enough. I kept my Canon SD1400 because it slips into any pocket.

In July 2010, after a LOT of searching and reviewing of reviews and gnawing of knuckles, I settled on the Canon EOS 7D with an EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. What a great camera!
