"Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking, where it is absent, discussion is apt to become worse than useless."-War and Peace, 1862
"I believe that we must know the truth to be wise and that truth ultimately comes from reality.". Geoff Haselhurst www.spaceandmotion.com/Haselhurst-Biography.htm
To me "photography" is imagination and what that captures a moment of history. It gives me the freedom to unleash my mental & physical limitation. Albert Eistein once said "Imagination is more powerful than knowledge". In Einstein's case, he gave his imagination the power, and not the knowledge or theories of the day. In fact, his imagination challenged and revolutionized scientific theory and the way we think about the nature of our universe. I believe that imagination is more powerful than knowledge because while knowledge helps us see and understand things as they are, imagination allows us to see things as they could be. Robert Kennedy also said, "Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask, why not?"
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
