Me: Yorkshire born (1970) and bred. Did a degree in Art History & Norwegian. Emigrated to Sweden where I lived 1998-2003. Now back for the time being in my hometown of Hull, East Yorks. Plan to emigrate again to be with my Peruvian girlfriend.....Now living in Lima, Perú!

Always been fascinated by old photographs since childhood. Think it started with my interest in the Great War and images from it. As a teenager I collected postcards of Edwardian music-hall ladies for a few years but didnt stick with it. Maybe around 2007 I started collecting cdvs and other images, mostly of females, mostly unknowns. Its grown from there.

As I see it, I'm just the custodian of these images, not the owner, and as such I'm happy for people to download/use them in any (non-commercial) way they please. The more digital copies out there, the stronger their chance of living on into the future. I try to upload sizable scans and as much info. as I know or can surmise about them. I even place them on the map in the correct street location for the studio! I enjoy these beautiful faces from the past, I hope you do too.
